With the ignition ON (engine off), open the vehicle-status / SERVICE menu in the cluster or iDrive.

Scroll to ENGINE OIL and select RESET.

Hold OK / confirm until the service interval resets.
- 4
Repeat for FRONT BRAKE or other items if you serviced them at the same time.

4.5–5.3 qt (4.3–5.0 L)
Capacity with a new filter. Verify the exact amount and oil grade (viscosity) in your owner's manual before filling.

- Only reset the oil life after a real oil and filter change.
- Warm oil is hot — let the engine cool a few minutes before draining.
- Reset resets the internal interval timer; it doesn't change what's in the sump.
