Privacy Notice

This notice explains what Oilresethq (trading as Oil Reset HQ, at oilresethq.com) does with information about you. Short version: we store almost nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no profiles, no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies.

WHO WE ARE

Oilresethq is the data controller for the information described here. To exercise a right or ask a question, email oilresethq@gmail.com and we'll answer within one month.

WHAT WE STORE AND WHY

• Visit count. We keep one running total of how many times the site has been opened, so the homepage can show it. It is a single number — we do not store your IP address, which pages you visited, or anything else that could identify you. This serves our legitimate interest in measuring how the site is doing.
• A cookie that throttles the visit count. A small httpOnly cookie is stored in your browser so we only count your visits once every 30 minutes. It contains a random marker, not your identity, and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. This serves our legitimate interest in keeping the count honest.
• What you type into the planner and the assistant. Your vehicle details and questions are sent to a language model to generate the answer, and are not stored by us afterwards.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as request metadata) for security and reliability. We don't add tracking on top.

WHO WE SHARE WITH

• Our hosting and backend providers, who process data only to run the site.
• An AI provider, which receives the text you type in the planner to generate an answer.
• Our professional advisers, and the authorities if we are legally required to tell them something.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

The visit total holds no personal data and is kept while the site runs. The throttling cookie expires from your browser after 30 minutes. What you type into the planner isn't kept by us at all.

SECURITY

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). The visit counter is stored where only the site's own server code can read it, and access to our systems is restricted to people who need it.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your information, object to processing, or complain to your data protection authority. Because of what we actually store, most of these will simply confirm there's nothing to find. Email oilresethq@gmail.com and we'll answer within one month.

CHILDREN

The site is a general reference tool and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll remove it.
