COMMON QUESTIONS
+Why is my oil change light on?
Your car's oil life monitor has counted down to its service point (usually 15% or 0%), or a fixed mileage/time reminder has come due. It's a reminder to change the oil and filter, not a sign of a fault.
+Can I keep driving with the oil change light on?
For a short while, yes — it's a reminder, not a warning. Book the oil change within a few hundred miles. If a red oil can light comes on instead, stop safely and check the oil level: that one means low oil pressure.
+How do I turn off the oil change light?
Change the oil and filter, then reset the reminder. On most new cars that's in the dash settings menu; on older cars it's a key-on and button or pedal sequence. Pick your car below for exact steps.
+The light came back on after I reset it. Why?
The reset didn't finish (many cars need the button held until the display flashes or shows 100%), or the car has a separate service reminder that also needs clearing. Repeat the steps for your exact model year.
