HOW TO RESET THE OIL LIFE ON A SAAB 9-7X

    Turn the ignition to ON/RUN without starting the engine. On push-button vehicles, press START twice without touching the brake.

    Use the steering-wheel DIC controls (or the INFO button on older clusters) to page to the OIL LIFE REMAINING display.

  3. 3

    Press and hold the ✓/ENTER (or RESET/SET) button for about 5 seconds until the display flashes, then shows 100%.

  4. 4

    Turn the ignition OFF, then start the engine and confirm the change-oil message is gone.

Tip: On many 2014-and-newer models you can also reset from the touchscreen: Settings → Vehicle → Oil Life → Reset.

6.0–7.0 qt (5.7–6.6 L)

Capacity with a new filter. Verify the exact amount and oil grade (viscosity) in your owner's manual before filling.

BEFORE YOU START

  • Only reset the oil life after a real oil and filter change.
  • Warm oil is hot — let the engine cool a few minutes before draining.
  • Reset resets the internal interval timer; it doesn't change what's in the sump.
